Yeah...ummmm...I found something while trying to find a name for an OC, and decided to do a little more research....*ahem* I put Ko's name into an online translator for Japanese and it came up with a few different results..... First there was "child", I guess we could make the connection between this translation and the part of the episode when he says "It's been a while since I added a child's face to my collection..." or something like that, but unless he's got a thing for children's faces I doubt it means anything. The next result I got was "the late". Now unless by "the late" they mean "the late person to work" this could refer to the fact that he probably (from what I can assume) steals the faces of the dead, but again, not too sure it means anything. Another result that came up was "old". This is one of the two that I like best for this. If you remember, the only reason Aang went to see Ko was because he was the only one old enough to know where the moon and ocean spirits were. The second one that I like best, is the translation of "sin, fault". As you can probably tell from his appearance in The Siege of the North, Ko isn't the most angelic, sinless, or even nice spirit in the spirit world. I think this definatly fits Ko's personality. Okay that ends the Japanese translations....on to the..... Danish translationYes, I know this has nothing to do with Ko but, turns out that in if your Danish Ko means "cow"....just thought that'd be good for a laugh..... ;D

Sounds interesting, but are you sure it was Ko and not Koh? For some reason I always thought of it to be Koh, like how Aang is spelled with two As instead of one.

I always thought, due to the captions I had on, that it was spelt 'Koh'.

I just said "dose it really matter?" well when your putting in a word for translation on an online translator the spelling can change the meaning. For example, I just went to the site where I translated the first spelling and when I put in "Koh" it said that no results were found. So Yes it does matter....

It also means that the people who write the caption's for Avatar made a mistake.

Nice translation, I kinda think his name is Ko, but it is Japanese. Japanese names can surprise you when you see them spelt.

I always thought it was Chinese. But, then again, I've already been proven wrong once.

Actually, I think Avatar is mainly Korean. I was just thinking up some random Asian country and thats why I said Japanese.
