I've taken Japanese for three years and it's probably not best to go to Japanese looking for meanings for Koh's name.
Koh would be an alternate romanization of the characters こう (kou). As a word, this is an adverb meaning "in this way." Which, you know, makes no sense.
If you look "kou" up in a kanji (Chinese characters used in Japanese) dictionary, you get 101 results, because some characters can have a dozen readings. So, it's safe to say that Koh's name probably isn't from Japanese.
Some of the characters are, just for kicks: 日: sun or day 豪: powerful, or apparently, Australia 弘: vast, wide
